"A great DJ is hard to come by and is arguably the MOST important part of any wedding. That’s why when we started planning our big day a little more than two years ago, Rodger was a non-negotiable vendor—we had to have his availability even if it meant changing venues because he is that amazing!
Rodger was the best decision we could have ever made. He has been nothing short of extraordinary through the process of planning a wedding through a pandemic. He was flexible, understanding, and accommodating. He brightened up our days even when we were navigating the uncertainty of our 1st wedding date, 2nd wedding date, and 3rd wedding date. Rodger’s positivity and attitude kept the party boat afloat—we had a blast even with our little family “after party” following the early sendoff. We loved every moment of our special day and we danced off that stress from the hours of planning during a pandemic.
We will continue to share the love we have for NJ Sings as the BEST DJ EVER! He’s already been booked for my niece’s Sweet 16 in May. Everyone could use more Rodger in their life!"

"Look no further! Words cannot describe how thorough and professional and fun Rodger is to work with. From the moment we spoke to him the first time to decide if we wanted to hire him he was amazing. Our music was perfect and our wedding lovely. He also served as our officiant and I am going to write a second review just about that. Throughout the process of preparing for the wedding Rodger was organized, had fantastic suggestions. We met several times for him to get to know us and our music tastes. He had great ideas on how to make the day even more fun for us. All of our guests raved over the music, the dancing, the lights, and the ceremony. He arrived early and had music playing 45 minutes before our event and ended exactly on time per our request. Nothing was left out and our requests for what we did not want want were honored. He did not just hide behind the DJ table but circulated unobtrusively through our guests making sure they were having a great time. There are really not enough words to describe how integral Rodger was to the success of our day. I would hire him for any occasion."

Officiant services review. "We wanted a wedding that began with a cocktail party into the ceremony and dinner and dancing to follow. We hired Rodger first to be our DJ and then found he was also an officiant. He spent hours on the phone with us and wrote the most unique, perfect ceremony for us. We laughed and cried our way to forever because we are not solemn people. I cannot even put together the correct sentiment to explain just how perfect the ceremony was. Since the wedding that has been the number one comment, that our ceremony was amazing and special and heartfelt. My only regret is that I did not hire a videographer to capture the ceremony for all of time. Rodger not only met my expectations, he blew them out of the water and made our day so joyful that he will never be forgotten."

"Roger was the DJ for my dads surprise 50th birthday party back in 2016.  After seeing how much he interacted with the crowd at my dads party, I knew i wanted him to DJ my wedding!!  After I got engaged, Rodger was one of the very first vendors I contacted, to make sure he was available for our wedding day!! :)   I would highly recommend Roger, he was emailing me almost every week as it got closer to my wedding just to ask how I was doing!! So nice   He met with us a little over a month before the wedding to go over some fine tuning.   He was SOOOOO interactive with all of my wedding guests, all of my guests danced the night away.   He played all of the songs that my guest requested!  Once again I would highly recommend Rodger!!  He truly is one of a kind!!"

"I met Rodger at the Brides Against Breast Cancer Tour of Gowns back in July when I didn't yet have a wedding date.  My mom really liked him and I enjoyed the music he played that day but I wasn't even completely in planning mode yet.  What made me know Rodger would be the right choice was reading the reviews of his previous clients.  Everyone was so thrilled and, more importantly, he took the time to personally reply to each and every single person.  He did with such personal touches that showed how he really got to know each couple or family and each one was so meaningful.  When someone puts forth that kind of effort, you know you are in good hands....and we were on our wedding day.  Our guests had a blast and really enjoyed every song that was played.  Like my mom said when we met you at the Brides Against Breast Cancer Tour of Gowns, you had the perfect mix "for older people and younger people."  All of our guests had such a fantastic time on the dance floor.  Our little cousins were dancing the night away and were mesmerized by the lights on the dance floor.  We loved how open you were to our out-of-the-box ideas including "Minglo," the mingle bingo game.  You even got Curtis out on the dance floor a few times and he rarely dances!     From working with Curtis on singing "Always and Forever" as a surprise to me as I walked down the aisle with my dad to planning his special song/dance tribute of "Dance with my Father" with our beloved "Mom Rivers" to calling my parents on the dance floor for the Konkani (Indian language) songs and to the "Superman" theme song for the surprise groom's cake, it was just the way we wanted.   Having our Stevie Wonder themed table names match the songs played during cocktail hour was perfect.  We did not plan to have anyone give a toast (we did that ourselves), and Rodger used his good judgment and allowed my little brother to take the mic, unbeknownst to us, and say the most heartfelt congratulations.  I had no idea it was coming and it brought me to tears.   Thank you so much for your flexibility and helpfulness throughout the whole process.  You went along so well with our unique song choices and made it all flow so nicely.  Thank you for helping to make our wedding day so memorable for everyone!  Wishing you all the best and hope to see you soon for another fantastic party!"  Peona and Curtis

"Rodger was our awesome DJ and "MC" at our recent wedding reception. Our reception was in Philadelphia and Rodger entertained our guests for 4 hours (my family literally danced for four hours, I think they might have taken a few five minute breaks to breathe, eat, and drink). My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with Rodger from the moment we met him, he is a friendly and professional person- he put us at ease immediately. His service was above and beyond what we expected, and being that we were two people who had never planned such a large event, Rodger gave us an idea of how to organize a timeline and came up with fun ideas for our guests. "My Husband and I searched all over South Jersey, Central Jersey and Philadelphia for a quality DJ. Unfortunately, it seemed everyone had fallen into a set playlist and style. "I am thrilled and eager to share a review for Rodger. Rodger served as the DJ and musical entertainer for our son's wedding. He played to a reception of approximately 150 guests. His song lists and DJing performance significantly contributed to a wonderful celebration of families and friends. After I interviewed Rodger I knew immediately he was the perfect DJ for the wedding. He offered an extensive list of services and ideas to promote a lively wedding reception. My son married a Korean girl. Acknowledging this, Rodger offered right away to compile a list of Korean songs to satisfy her family. I was impressed with his professionalism and desire to accomadate our families needs. Additionally, Rodger helped our Korean guests who wanted to perform for the group by meeting their technical performance needs. Rodger is the best DJ!!!!! He DJ'ed my wedding this past Saturday and the wedding was a blast! Before the event, Rodger met with me and discussed my thoughts on how I wanted the reception to go. He listened to all my thoughts and gave me great suggestions on things I had forgotten to plan. My husband and I are actors in NYC and love musical theatre. I requested to have some obscure songs from musicals played during dinner and he found each one. Leading up to the event, Rodger kept in contact and followed up on my additional requests. I felt comfortable with Rodger from our first meeting and I felt assured that he would do an amazing job. And boy was I right!!!! He was there early and had everything set up at the restaurant before I  arrived. He played all the right music at the right time. "Rodger is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! It was two weeks before my wedding and I still didn't have a DJ. Panicked, I signed up to thumbtack and it was Rodger to the rescue! I spoke to him over the phone and he instantly put me at ease. We met two days later to discuss the wedding and we (my new husband and I) instantly knew he was the DJ for us. He had a plan that demonstrated his professional expertise and people skills. By the end of the meeting, we had a plan and action items on both ends.  On the day of the wedding, he went above and beyond to make our wedding day special and FUN.
